Sahara Desert Journeys organize day trip to Ourika valley and Atlas mountains. We do recommend this private trip if you have time while in Marrakech. This excursion from Marrakech will take you to breathtaking scenery less touched by tourists and to a very lush valley . The Atlas mountains journey will allow you to experience the Berber way of life, a way that has been endured for 100s of years.

At the beginning of guided excursion from Marrakech we will pick up you from your riad/hotel in Marrakech. Then we travel towards Ourika Valley passing the villages of Asni and Tahnaout. This guided trip will take you from Marrakech through the three valleys including Tahnaout Valley, the Mulay Brahim Gorge and the Berber village of Asni. We will also visit a Berber family and experience our culture. During our Marrakech excursion we will experience the breathtaking scenery and the fascinating views of the Toubkal and Oukaimden Mountains - the highest peaks in North Africa.

We will get to Ourika Valley for lunch. This valley is one of the richest valleys in Morocco with water running, green trees and flowers, blooming bushes, and magnificent waterfalls. We will take 2 hours hiking and you enjoy walking through the Berber village of Setti Fatma, and within the fields where you may well see monkeys in the wild, and experience great views of the waterfall.

Once we finish our Atlas mountain excursion ,we head back to Marrakech. Our day trip ends at your accommodation or any place of your choice in Marrakech.
